Constance "Connie" Bonivich Hughes, 57, of Fishersville, was completely cured of her cancer as she went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2014.
Connie was born on November 12, 1956, in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania.
She was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and earned her business degree from James Madison University.
She owned and operated the Trophy Case in Stuarts Draft for 28 years.
Connie loved her family well and enjoyed making family dinners and having special outings with her girls. One of her greatest joys was being the "Gamaw" to her two precious grandsons.
Connie is survived by her parents, Paul and Ruth Bonivich of Waynesboro; daughter, Katie Hughes-Potter of Fishersville; daughter, Lisa Hemp and husband, James, of Staunton; sister, Phyllis Baker and husband, Kenneth, of Waynesboro; brother, Donald Bonivich and Brenda Garrett of Hampton. She is also survived by her grandsons, Noah Potter and Jaxson Hemp.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, c/o Lung Force, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601, in Connie's memory.
